Guerlain has relaunched the Guerlain Lingerie de Peau Foundation($69 CAD) with a new expanded shade range of 14 shades, that are categorized by shade intensity as well as undertone. Rejoice fair skinned beauties, because Guerlain Lingerie de Peau is finally available for us! And not just with one fair offering…with three!
There are 5 shade depths ranging from 1-5 with cool, neutral, and warm shades available for shade depths 1-4, and cool and warm shades available for the darkest depth 5.
The foundation comes in a stunning glass pump bottle with a black and gold cap and a unique shape that really makes it stand out as a luxe item.
The formula is the original Lingerie de Peau formula. It offers medium coverage with a silky, light texture that never looks cakey or heavy. It has a natural satin finish and the hydrating formula is comfortable and flattering on my dry skin. I struggle so much with foundations because of my dry skin type. It is so hard to find something that doesn’t suck the life out of my skin and emphasize dry patches. Lingerie de Peau features a silk-fusion complex of hydrating and soothing agents for comfort, and I really do feel that I notice the benefits of this while wearing the foundation. This foundation does a beautiful job evening out my skin tone, camouflaging redness and hyper-pigmentation, while still leaving my skin looking like skin. I want to be able to scrutinize my makeup closeup and still have it look natural, while still covering my multitude of imperfections. A tall order, but the Guerlain Lingerie de Peau excels at giving flawless, yet natural looking results. It is now one of my favourite foundation formulas for everyday. Another bonus is it sets to a lovely finish, that doesn’t require powdering, which is another dry skin bonus.

Also released with the launch is the new Guerlain The Foundation Brush ($53 CAD). This dense, synthetic brush blends foundation seamlessly. I love the petite design, blush coloured handle, and handy travel pouch that it comes with. I actually prefer to apply the foundation with a BeautyBlender. As with most foundations, applying with a sponge is the best method for my dry skin as the pressing motion disturbs dry patches much less than the buffing motion of a brush.

I have a full bottle in the shade 01N very light neutral. I also have a sample bottle in the shade 01C very light cool. I can wear both but 01N is my best match, and an excellent one at that. I think if you are super, duper fair you may find the new shades to be a bit too dark still but the expanded range will still delight many a pale beauty lover.

Here I am wearing one coat of Lingerie de Peau Natural Perfection Skin-Fusion Texture Foundation in the shade 01N. The foundation does build nicely if you want more coverage. I am also wearing a touch of the new Guerlain Multi-Perfecting Concealer in the shade 01 Light Warm under the eyes. This is just the foundation. I have not set with any powder. I just love how this foundation looks!

Also launching is the new Guerlain Multi-Perfecting Concealer ($42 CAD). This concealer gives a blurring effect to help conceal dark circles and imperfections as well as offering long term, targeted skincare benefits to hydrate, decongest the eye area, and calm irritation. The formula offers buildable coverage. This concealer wasn’t as immediate a success as the foundation was for me. I am still playing around with it. So far I have been struggling to keep it from looking dry under my eyes. I’ve applied it with my fingers as well as a BeautyBlender. It does offer beautiful coverage under the eyes though without being thick and heavy and I love the sanitary tube packaging.

Are you a Lingerie de Peau fan? Have you been long awaiting the release of fairer shades as I have?
