Covergirl has really been stepping up their game lately. Here are some new products that have really been impressing me.
The Covergirl TruNaked Goldens Goldens Eyeshadow Palette is a gorgeous selection of neutral shades. The palette includes gorgeous shimmer, metallics, and even two nice matte shades. It is a really well curated selection of shadows that will allow you to create a variety of looks ranging from natural to dramatic.
The powder shadows are very creamy and smooth with nice pigmentation. They are incredibly easy to blend. My only complaint is that they are actually too easy to blend, and if you aren’t mindful, you can end up blending the colour right away. I do recommend wearing an eyeshadow primer with these to get full pigment and prevent fading.
The Covergirl TruNaked Waterproof Eyeliner Duo is such a handy pencil to have in your makeup bag. One end is the lovely shimmering Cashmere shade which is perfect for the inner corner and waterline.
The other end is a gorgeous deep, dark brown called Espresso.
Another product that everyone seems to be loving is these new Covergirl Oh Sugar! Vitamin Infused Balms. Even my mother in law has picked up a couple of these. The are a beautifully glossy, lightly tinted balm with a yummy scent. I did find the scent of mine seemed to turn after a month or so. Let me know if this has happened to you, or if it’s just a fluke with mine.
There are a variety of shades available ranging from nudes like Caramel (shown), to bolds and brights.
I’ve always been a big fan of Covergirl mascaras, and even stock them in my pro kit. One of their latest releases is the Covergirl The SuperSizer Fibers Mascara. This mascara has a unique, small, short bristled brush. The fibers are quite subtle and give the lashes a natural, very long, fluttery, seperated look. Shown below is two coats.
