I’ve been playing with a few new launches from Estée Lauder. They have been releasing some really great skincare gems lately.
Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Concentrated Recovery Eye Mask ($11 US) This eye mask can be purchased individually or in packages of 4. The are sealed with the eye mask pads separated from the mask liquid. This ensures you are receiving the freshest and most effective actives in the treatment. After 10 mins your under eyes are refreshed and hydrated with fine lines and dryness plumped for a more youthful fresh look. The eye mask is infused with Estée Lauder’s Advanced Night Repair technology so you know you are receiving proven, effective skincare benefits.

Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Recovery Mask-In-Oil ($ USD) This beautiful oil is meant to be used as the last step in your evening skincare routine to lock in and amplify the benefits of your Advanced Night Repair Serum. You can see how much I’m loving it by the hefty dent I’ve made in the bottle already. Rich in squalane and decadent oils it feels beautiful on the skin and does a wonderful job of hydrating, nourishing, and soothing.

Estée Lauder Revitalizing Supreme+ Global Anti-Aging Cell Power Eye Gelee ($ US) This eye treatment, I find it to have a light lotion texture vs a gelée, which I am thankful for as I much prefer a light cream/lotion texture over a gel one. It offers instant cooling and de-puffing which is further enhanced with the cooling golden massage tip. This treatment offers wonderful hydration for my eye area and performs beautifully under makeup. I’ve been using it night and day. I am in love with how this is packaged. There is a soft squishy area on the side of the tube that you push onto and that dispenses the product.

There are three new makeup primers. The Mattifier, The Illuminator (probably best suited for my skin), and the Estée Lauder The Smoother Universal Perfecting Primer ($36 US). I don’t have ingredients for this but it is a lightweight silicone pore filling primer with skin-softening apricot essence. I don’t use these kinds of primers but the texture is quite nice on this one.
Have you tried anything new from Estée Lauder lately? What have you been loving?

Well, Christa, I’ve mentioned this before, and I don’t really want to be bird-dogging you because I love your blog and I understand that you gotta do what you gotta do. But some of the blogs and this one is a case in point, sound either like someone else is doing your blog or maybe you are over-tired and should just do fewer blogs. And no one will mind. I could literally go through your website and point out which blogs are yours and which sound like someone else who is not as good a writer wrote them.

I don’t know what to say to this Alison. I wrote this. I’m sorry I wasn’t waxing poetic enough on skincare products for you. I’m not exactly sure what you are expecting from the bloggers you are reading? Some of my posts will have a lot more enthusiasm behind them because I have a lot more enthusiasm for what I’m writing about. No one has ever reviewed a product on this blog beside’s myself and yeah I’m not going to write a life changing product review every time. If that is what you are looking for then I apologize you’re not getting it here. But if a blogger is excitedly writing masterpieces about every product they review than that doesn’t exactly seem accurate or reliable either, especially for skincare. I have one face. I can’t thoroughly 30 day test and analyze every product that crosses my desk. I gave my opinion on the products I have been using and noted which product I hadn’t bothered trying. I’m not going to try to bullshit anyone just to look like a better writer.

I really appreciate the explanation and apologize for bugging you. Thank you! I think I was worried you were not feeling well and had to hire a sub writer, or that someone had persuaded you that you needed their services and was not matching your voice. I am a writer myself and there are times when my writing is not at the peak of enthusiasm either. So I understand. Apologies and thanks. Love your blog.

Thank you Alison. I appreciate your concern and I value your opinion. I do have a lot going on, which could very well be reflected in my writing, but everything is good. 🙂
