Dior recently released in the US (and will hit counters Nationwide in Canada in October) a new blush formula. The Dior Diorblush Vibrant Colour Powder Blush ($42 US/$43 CAD) has a sheer powder formula made up of superfine particles that you can apply for a sheer wash of colour or build up for a more vibrant flush while giving a second skin effect that never looks heavy or powdery. The powder feels silky and offers a fresh glow to the complexion. There are 12 shades available in four colour groupings; Pink, Red, Coral, and Nude. I have a pink, coral, and two nude shades to introduce you to today.
Amber Snow is in the Coral family and is a gorgeous medium coral with delicate golden shimmer. It has just the right amount of brightness to add real life to your look without being overpowering.
Brown Milly is not what I expected after reading the shade name. It is not brown, but rather a stunning satin mauve plum. A perfect cool nude. It’s nice to see that the Nude family is has both a cool and warm shade available.
One of the 5 Pink shades available is Rose Cherie. One of Dior’s “It” shades in the collection. It is a lovely soft, pale pink with delicate golden shimmer.
Mimi Bronze is the other Nude family shade available and the “It” nude shade. It is the loveliest bronze with a hint of rose that has a very small amount of fine golden shimmer. I didn’t think these types of shades appealed to me but I can’t get enough of Mimi Bronze.
Swatches in natural light:
Diorblush comes packaged in a classic navy Dior compact. It has the same width and height as the Dior Quint packaging but without the hologram effect and with a slimmer profile. The enclosed natural hair angled brush is super soft and actually very usable.
