I can’t begin to tell you how excited I am about this new mascara from Clarins. The Clarins Be Long Mascara ($27 CAD) has really stood out to me as being unique and it performs beautifully. Why am I so excited? Well it has to do mostly with the brush. It is wonderfully stabby! Huh? You are thinking. I know. I know. Strange description that doesn’t sound entirely positive but I mean it in the most endearing way. The applicator for the Clarins Be Long Mascara has an elastomer brush in a turbine shape. The bristles have this amazing firmness to them that makes it almost like using a lash comb at the same time as applying your mascara. It allows you to get every lash and keep every lash separate and clump free. You can get right into the base of your lashes with ease. Just be careful not to poke yourself in the eye because like I said… wonderfully stabby. The brush is also on a 7° angle to allow for easier application.
I was already in love with this mascara before I even read the press materials and realized that the formula actually contains the Be Long Lash Complex which includes Matrikine and Panthenol to help grow longer and more lush lashes. Bonus!
The unique brush design also happens to work wonderfully to ensure your wand comes out coated in just the right amount of mascara to avoid clumps. Just look how neat that brush is. You wouldn’t even know it had mascara on it.
The squared matte gold packaging is really sleek and sophisticated. I really like the extra touch of the Clarins Red on the base of the packaging. It just adds to the sophistication factor.
Here is Clarins Be Long Mascara in action. Beautiful, long, wispy yet still voluminous lashes.
