The new NARS Tahiti Bronze Collection is the embodiment of summer. The sunny bronze hues and the INCREDIBLE scent will whisk you away to a tropical beach. Given my fair complexion, I am usually a little nervous about bronzing collections, but my goodness these products are heavenly. The collection is inspired by Motu Tane, a small Tahitian island located just off of Bora Bora, and combines lavish new launches with NARS cult favorites for face and body.
The products include the nicest touches including wood grain detailed exterior boxes/packaging.
The NARS Monoï Body Glow 1 Bronzing Body Oil ($59 US/$80 CAD) is the original cult favorite Monoï beauty oil formula, which is a luxe blend of hydrating essences with Tiare flower steeped in native coconut oil. It has the most gorgeous bronzed shimmer that I swear I could stare at all day. It is so beautiful. But the best part of this decadent body oil is the scent. It smells so freaking amazing I can’t stop smelling myself. It is addictive! Given the first ingredient is coconut oil this product can solidify at cooler temperatures. (This surprised me when it arrived on a rather cool day.) But fear not this is completely normal and just placing it in a warmer room or in the sunlight will liquify it once again. Plus you can stare at the stunning shimmer in the sunlight!
The collection also includes the NARS Monoï Body Glow II ($80 CAD) which is the bestselling sequel to the original. It is a similar formula (no bronze glow) and has a scent of Tiare blossom, white Frangipani, Ylang-Ylang and Vanilla. Have you compared the two scents? I am so obsessed with the Body Glow 1 that I am curious to see what this version is like.
The other product I have from this limited edition capsule collection is the NARS Laguna Tiare Bronzer ($59 US/$76 CAD) – This is NARS’ iconic Laguna Bronzer, which is a beautiful rich brown toned bronzer with a golden sheen, but infused with the intoxicating scent of the body oil. It smells amazing and you can actually smell it on the skin well after application. What a perfect compliment to the Monoï Body Oil. It is a generously sized pan of bronzer (0.35oz compared to the standard 0.28oz) housed in a woodgrain embossed plastic compact with a mini sized Ita Kabuki brush.
I’ve never tried a full size Ita brush to compare but I am really loving the shape of this brush and how it feels in the hand. The bristles are odd. They somehow manage to seem sort of rough and textured yet soft at the same time. Maybe that is the way they are meant to be?
If you are a fan of the NARS Laguna Bronzer then I highly recommend this limited edition version. The scent is to die for.

Also part of the NARS Tahiti Bronze Collection, but not shown, are the Liquid Laguna Bronzer ($40 US/$52 CAD) – A sheer and weightless liquid version of NARS’ best selling, universally flattering warm brown Laguna shade. Enriched with Monoï and Tamanu oils and vanilla extract for moisturizing and antioxidant benefits.
Monoï Scented Candle ($90 CAD) – A paraffin-free wax candle, infused with French Polynesia’s signature Monoï fragrance. Ummm a candle that smells as incredible as these products? I NEED this in my life NOW!
The NARS Tahiti Bronze Collection will be available tomorrow April 1, 2016 at all NARS retailers (Sephora, Hudson’s Bay, Holt Renfrew, Nordstrom and Murale) and www.narscosmetics.com. I’ve noticed a couple retailers have it available already.
