The NARS Steven Klein Fantascene Holiday 2015 Collection is probably my favorite seasonal release that NARS has had in recent years. The products in the collection are all limited edition and come in special Steven Klein for NARS packaging.
Another one of my favorite things from the collection, OK OK maybe I have a lot of favourites, is the new limited edition NARS Killer Shine Lipsticks ($29 US/$36 CAD). This new formula is fantastic. They have amazing pigmentation and the most gorgeous glossy sheen. You certainly don’t need to top these babies with gloss unless you want to alter the colour or add some sparkle.
The three shades in the collection are:
- Redemption – Metallic pink champagne
- Besame Mucho – Deep rose-beige
- No Shame – Red plum
Redemption is described as a metallic pink champagne but I find it more of a tan champagne. I was worried it would look far too frosty but it actually looks quite soft and pretty. It also looks fabulous layered over Besame Mucho. Besame Mucho is a gorgeous beige brown with a hint of rose. I can’t believe how much I love love love this colours. The shine is gorgeous. No Shame is a true stunner. This red plum is the perfect balance of deep & vampy and bright & bold. I get a good amount of wear time for me from these lipsticks, (about 4-5 hours), and they feel very comfortable on the lips.
