The NARS Wildfire Spring 2017 Colour Collection embraces the free spirit, and vibrant hues, of wildflowers, blue skies, and earthy burnt reds. These shades are perfect for embracing the carefree days of spring and summer. If we can ever see our way out of the snow to even begin to think about wildflowers again!
The collection is packaged in the standard rubberized black NARS packaging.
The collection includes two new NARS Duo Eyeshadows ($35 US/$43 CAD). One of which is limited edition and the other will become permanent.
Thessalonique Duo Eyeshadow – Iridescent seashell pink / Iridescent violet smoke – I am surprised by how in love with this eyeshadow duo I’ve become. I’ve already wore it several times since receiving it. It is effortless to create a interesting and gorgeous everyday eye look just using the two shades in this duo. I wish the iridescent pink finish of the seashell pink shade showed up better on camera. It is so beautiful on the lid and inner corner. The violet smoke shade has a subtle glow and sparkle that builds of beautifully on the outer v of the eye while still blending out to a lovely soft haze in the crease. I see this becoming one of my fave NARS eyeshadow duos.
Chiang Mai Duo Eyeshadow – Shimmering sea blue / Copper (Limited Edition) – This is a lovely duo and much more wearable than I anticipated. The sea blue shade has a translucent quality giving it a softer look on the lids rather than the intense teal blue I expected looking at it in the pan. The copper shade is gorgeous.
There are two new NARS Lipstick ($28 US/$35 CAD) shades, both are limited edition.
Kiss Me Stupid Lipstick – Burnt sienna – I didn’t think I’d care for this shade but it is a lovely warm brown with a subtle gloss finish. Very flattering!
Breaking Free Lipstick – Neon coral – The “fun” shade in the collection, this matte neon shade is a little harder for me to pull off. I found it accentuated the lines in dryness in my winter lips. Come summer though I will likely have better luck wearing this. If you love neon lip shades this one has great pigmentation, opacity, and vibrancy.
There is also a new NARS Blush ($30 US/$38 CAD) introduced with the collection that is not limited edition. It is absolutely gorgeous, and my favourite part of this collection, so I am delighted it will be sticking around.
Bumpy Ride Blush – Shimmering candy pink – Bumpy Ride give cheeks the loveliest pink glow. It is a soft warm pink that seems to go with everything you pair it with. I am so pleased with this shade and finish.
The NARS Wildfire Spring 2017 Collection also includes:
- NARS Lipglosses in Asphalt and Aragón
- NARS Velvet Shadow Sticks in Siros (bronze), Usbek (vivid purple), and Belle-Ile (shimmering mandarin orange).
- NARS Large Velvet Shadow Stick in Grande
The collection will launch January 2017 at Sephora and February 2017 at other retailers.
Thessalonique Duo Eyeshadow sounds like a must buy for me. It’s the first thing I’ve seen for spring that really makes sense for my coloring!
