I am relatively new to NARS Larger Than Life Long-Wear Eyeliners ($28 CAD/$28 US) but they are quickly becoming a favourite. The formula is very long wearing and I love the twist up packaging with included sharpener on the end of the pencil. The formula is firm enough to allow precise lines but smooth enough to lay down colour without tugging. The thing that makes me love these liners the most though are the beautiful shades available. The introduction of Puerto Del Sol and Khao San Road with the Spring 2014 Color Collection has only served to further secure these liners at the top of the pack for me.
Puerto Del Sol is a beautiful shimmering parrot green. I didn’t think I would care for this shade of green in a liner but I have fallen in love with it. It requires several passes for opacity but I had no problem building it up to full coverage on my waterline and lash line. Khao San Road is a metallic aquamarine blue. It is a little more pigmented than Puerto Del Sol but still requires multiple passes for full opacity. Again, no issue reaching that kind of coverage. While I don’t feel they pair very well with the eyeshadow duos released with the collection they do look absolutely amazing together.
Available February 1 at Canadian NARS retailers (Hudson’s Bay, Holt Renfrew, Sephora and MURALE) and www.narscosmetics.ca. Available now in the US.
