I can’t believe we are sharing Fall 2015 Collections already. I have been enjoying this summer more than most I can remember in recent history. The weather has been incredible and we have been taking full advantage of it. At the same time I find myself latching on to the new fall clothing and makeup releases with much more anticipation and excitement than usual. Normally I would never start investing in a Fall wardrobe at the beginning of August but I’ve already been going a little crazy. I really am excited about fall. Today I get to share some excitement over the new NARS Fall 2015 Collection!

TheNARS Velvet Shadow Sticks ($35 CAD) are making their official launch with the NARS Fall 2015 Collection. You may remember some of these when there were 5 limited edition NARS Matte Velvet Shadow Sticks released with the Spring 2015 back in January. There are now shimmer and satin shades available as well! There are a total of 8 available shades:
- Hollywoodland – Pale Gold
- Aigle Noir – Black Infused with Gold Shimmer
- Glénan – Navy
- Goddess – Pink Champagne
- Oaxaca – Quartz
- Sukhothai – Shimmering Peacock
- Flibuste – Black
- Reykjavik – Grey

I had four shades to test; two matte shades Filibuste and Reykjavik (previously reviewed here), as well as Hollywoodland and Oaxaca. Based on these it appears the matte shades offer the most intense, opaque pigment. The matte velvet shadow sticks are seriously impressive. Super creamy and intense, opaque colour in a single swipe. The more dimensional shades still offer the same silky, creamy texture but are a little more sheer. Hollywoodland had a good level of pigmentation and the most stunning shimmer. This is such a gorgeous inner corner highlight or lid shade. The satin finish Oaxaca was quite sheer, and went on a little patchy, especially after trying to blend it out a bit. It is a lovely neutral with just a hint of a glow. A great colour to just swipe on the lids for a quick eye look.

The collection includes two new Dual-Intensity Eyeshadow Singles ($36 CAD). Pasiphae – Shimmering Peacock Burgundy (not shown) and Telesto – Brown with Gold Shimmer. Telesto is an absolutely beautiful rich brown. You expect it to be lighter based on how it appears in the pan, but once you dig into the shade the deeper brown beneath is revealed and you realize the finish on top is representative of the delicate gold shimmer within being amplified on it’s surface.

Telesto doesn’t have noticeable gold shimmer, but rather has this beautiful glow. Love! The Dual Intensity Shadows can be applied wet or dry. I found the level of pigmentation dry excellent as shown below.

The limited edition NARS VIP Red Lipstick ($34 CAD) is a gorgeous Dark Brique shade that offers full on opaque pigment. This is such a flattering, intense red for fall and I think it will suit the vast majority of skin tones.

The Fall collection brings two new shades of NARS Lip Gloss ($32 CAD). Chelsea Girls – Pink Beige (not shown), and Baby Doll – Shimmering Candy Pink. When I first saw Baby Doll I was like WOW, that is such a pretty pink, but it looks so frosty. I was worried there was no way I could pull it off. Well turns out it is much more wearable than I anticipated and I kinda love it. The pink shade is perfection and the shimmer level is just shy of being too over the top frosty.

The pigmentation is very good making this a great stand alone lip gloss shade.

Also part of the Fall Collection is the NARS Blush in Tribulation ($37 CAD) (Limited Edition) – Shimmery Rosy sand (not shown).
