NARS Cosmetics has released a new Contour Blush ($46 CAD) duo. There are three shades available with each including a lighter shade to illuminate the high points of the face and a deeper shade to enhance definition. I have the shade Paloma to share with you. The formula is a matte powder with a very lightweight, smooth, soft texture. It offers a natural skin like results without chalkiness.
I’m not sure if the lighter duo Olympia would work better for me but the lighter shade in Paloma is pretty much the same, if not a touch darker, than my skintone so with the lack of shimmer I don’t get any highlighting effect from it. The darker shade works beautifully for contouring though or even as a bronzer. These duos are even perfect for a natural, everyday eye look.
Here I am wearing Paloma subtly to contour my cheekbones, jawline, a little around the forehead and temples, as well as a light touch down the sides of the nose. I have applied the the lighter shade as well to highlight the high points of my face but you can’t really see it.
The three available shade duos are:
OLYMPIA Ivory/Rose
PALOMA Pink beige/Deep rose
GIENAH Honey/Amber
I love that NARS has released these as more brands need to make highlighting and contouring more accessible, convenient, and achievable as NARS has done with these Contour Blushes. I think all 3 may be a must for my pro kit. 😉
Available April 1 at select NARS retailers (including Sephora, Hudson’s Bay, Holt Renfrew and Murale) and www.narscosmetics.ca.
