Behold my Chanel blush collection. Unfortunately several of these shades were limited edition or discontinued but hopefully this will still be a good reference and comparison tool for you current and future Chanel enthusiasts out there. The US Joues Contraste formula is probably my absolute favourite powder blush formula. They are perfectly pigmented, smooth, and have the most beautiful subtle shimmer. Occasionally shades are released with more prominent shimmer like Orchid Rose and Espiegle. All of the Joues Contraste blushes featured are the US formula with the exception of Rouge, Rose Tourbillon, Pink Explosion, Plum Attraction, and Rose Temptation which were all released in the US in the Euro/Canadian baked formula. I am not really a fan of the baked formula as it becomes hard over time and more difficult to pick up pigment. The shimmer is also not as lovely as that in the US formulation. They are still outstanding blushes though and with the right brush a dream to work with.
The following swatches are all one swipe with a sponge applicator.
Unfortunately this photo did not turn out. The sun was far too intense. I’m sure as heck not going to complain about too much sun though! These blushes are arranged in the same order as the swatch photos above. I will try to put up a better representation of the blushes in their pans once I get one.
I hope you enjoyed this little bit of eye candy and peek into my collection.
Edit: I have since added more Joues Contraste blushes to my collection. You can click on the link to view swatches.
