Maybelline recently released the Color Elixir by Color Sensational Lip Colors ($10.99 CAD/$8.99 US) in 20 beautiful shades. I have Celestial Coral and Glistening Amber to share with you today.
Celestial Coral is more of a bright warm pink than a coral. It does not contain shimmer. Glistening Amber is a pale warm nude with fine shimmer. Both shades offer a nice amount of pigment with a glossy translucent finish.
The packaging is really fun as the compartment for the liquid lip colour is shaped like a lipstick bullet. I love that you can see the product inside. The tapered shape of the sponge tip applicator makes precise application of these colours a breeze.
The Maybelline Color Elixirs are very comfortable to wear as they are non sticky and have a cushy feel while leaving the lips feeling nourished. I did find they have a very strong scent so if you aren’t a fan of fragrance in your lip products than you may struggle with these. I get about 1-2 hours wear.
If you love plush glossy lip colours with great pigment than you are definitely going to want to check out your local drugstore or mass market retailer to try out the new Maybelline Color Elixirs.
