For Fall 2014 Marc Jacobs Beauty has released the new Marc Jacobs Twinkle Pop Eye Stick ($28US/$35 CAD). I can tell you right now that I want them ALL! The shades I am showing you today are:
- On the Verge – Iced grape shimmer.
- Three Shakes – Milk chocolate shimmer.
The Marc Jacobs Twinkle Pop are a propel-repel (retractable) style cream eyeshadow pencil. I love the sleek chrome packaging that shows the colour inside on the tip.
The formula of these eyeshadows is truly outstanding. They are so smooth and creamy. They feel refreshing and cooling on the lids thanks to the alpine snow water in the formulation. You can apply these more sheerly or build up for opaque coverage. I found On the Verge a little easier to apply more sheerly as Three Shakes is incredibly pigmented and opaque in a single swipe. These can be blended out but you must work quick (I recommend one eye at a time) because they set fast. Once they set they are not going anywhere. These wear like iron. They don’t crease, fade, or migrate at all. Even when I applied them quite heavily on the lid. The angled tip allows you to apply them more thinly to line the eyes which I found really handy for applying on the lower lash line.
The shimmer is gorgeous yet sophisticated. There is beautiful dimension and complexity to the colours. There are a total of 9 shades available and I am definitely interested in checking out the other 7 shades. A lot of times I like to use products like this as a base but these are so stunning on their own that I love them for a quick and easy eye look that looks so beautiful.
What do you think? Will you be checking these out? The price may be a little steep but the quality is there to justify it.
