Today I have some new spring pretties from Estée Lauder to share with you. First of all, from the Golden Goddess 2016 Collection, we have the limited edition Estée Lauder Summer Glow Eyeshadow Palette ($55 CAD). This six shade eyeshadow palettes includes sun kissed neutrals with a pop of teal. There are two matte shades (yay!) and four shimmers.
The sleek gold palette is really pretty and includes a generous mirror.
The eyeshadows are quite nicely pigmented with the exception of the teal which is quite sheer and applies murkier on the skin than it appears in the palette. My favourite shades in the palette are the last two shades. The matte brown is fantastic. The gold is really pretty but does produce quite a bit of glitter fallout. I found the shadows to have nice lasting power as well, again with the exception of the teal shade which faded quite a bit through the day.
The limited edition Estée Lauder Lip and Cheek Summer Glow ($38 CAD) is such a fun product. This dual-ended 3-in-1 multi-tasking color stick for lip and cheeks is perfect for brightening up the lips and cheeks on the go. On one end you have a twist up lip and cheek cream color and on the other end a lightweight sheer liquid lip shine. The portability of this product makes it perfect for throwing in your handbag or in your overnight bag for a weekend at the cottage. The liquid lip shine is very, very sheer. It has a wet feel and glossy finish but does not last very long. My favorite part of this product is the lip and cheek cream. I almost wish they had of just made a smaller twist up lip and cheek stick which would have been even more travel friendly. Shown is the shade Peach Glow which looks equally stunning on both lips and cheeks. The texture is really easy to work with and feels very comfortable to wear. I am quite enjoying it! The two other available shades are Fuchsia Lights and Sunburst.
Another new release for Spring 2016 is the Estée Lauder Pure Color Envy Sculpting Gloss ($29 CAD). Available in 8 shades, all with a shimmer finish, this gloss has a fluid balm texture with a high gloss finish. The multidimensional shimmer gives the illusion of plumper lips and the formula enriched with Hyaluronic Acid keeps looks feeling, and looking, plump and healthy. The shade I tested was Intense Spice. It has a moderate amount of pigmentation. Enough to fair well enough worn alone but I see this gloss really standing out as a lipstick topper to add shine, shimmer, and a boost of hydration to your lipstick.
A new addition to the Double Wear range is the Estée Lauder Double Wear Waterproof All Day Extreme Wear Concealer ($30 CAD). It is a waterproof, sweat and humidity resistant liquid concealer that has great lasting power and a soft matte finish. It’s smooth creamy texture, dense pigment, and hydrating formula works as beautifully on blemishes as it does under the eyes. There is a really impressive range of shades to match a variety of skin tones. Shown is 1C Light which is a nice match for me.
