I originally thought this was going to be a pretty tough Makeup Wars assignment for me. I have many products I adore but I rarely use up products because I have a “wee bit” of stuff AND I can never resist the urge to try something new hoping for my next miracle product. On that note when I really got to thinking about it there are several items I do repurchase, and shamefully some haven’t even been reviewed. Amazing how the things you turn to most often can at times be the most invisible.
In no particular order:
Lansinoh HPA Lanolin for Nursing Mothers – My holy grail lip balm! I have purchased this many, many times even though a tube lasts a long time. I have had healthy, unchapped lips for years since beginning using this.
Shu Uemura Ultime8 Sublime Beauty Skin Purifier Cleansing Oil – I don’t ever want to be without this effective and luxurious cleansing oil.
Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser – The gentlest of cream cleansers for use in my morning shower or with my Clarisonic after removing my makeup.
Too Faced Shadow Insurance – I have yet to review the original Too Faced Shadow Insurance but I have repurchased many times for myself and for my pro kit. Out of all the eye primers I have tried this is my hands down favourite.
MAC Painterly Paint Pot – I know I’m a little obsessive and double up on my eye priming. 😉 I love how Painterly perfectly matches my skin tone, amplifies my eyeshadow colours, and covers any veins and imperfections on my lids.
Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill Mascara – I have repurchased the original Armani Eyes to Kill mascara many times. If it were a bit more affordable and accessible to me it would have been repurchased even more times.
shu uemura Eyelash Curler – I have tried many other eyelash curlers in the past as the shu uemura lash curler isn’t the most accessible for me but nothing for me compares. I am now stocked up for personal use and my kit. I don’t want to be struggling with substitutes again.
Giorgio Armani Rouge d’Armani Lipsticks in Beige 102 and Beige 103 – These are the perfect peachy nude and pinky nude lipsticks for me. Heck for everybody! OK that may be an exaggeration but I carry them in my lip palette for my pro kit as they are ideal for brides and I will always have these on hand for myself. Whether worn alone or topped with a gloss the shades are gorgeous and the formula is perfection. Love. Love. Love.
Le Metier de Beaute Uma Paro Sheer Brilliance Lip Gloss – I have yet had to repurchase this but I am including it because it is running low and I will repurchase which is unusual for me with a lipgloss. OK maybe actually running out of a lipgloss is unusual for me given how many I own…but I will repurchase this! I have never seen another gloss in a shade anything like this and the non sticky formula of the Le Metier de Beaute Sheer Brilliance Lip Glosses is lovely.
Benefit Dallas is actually a pretty recent discovery for me and has not needed to be repurchased just yet but I am fairly certain when this baby finally runs out I will be ordering another stat. It is a stunning bronzer shade on my fair cool to neutral skin and possesses bronzed pink tones not often seen in a sea of orange toned bronzers. Benefit Dallas also functions beautifully as a blush and I find myself reaching for this possibly more than any other cheek product in my stash.
Somme Institute Transport Pads An effective, yet gentle, means of exfoliation that has done wonders for my skin. I am on my second refill and in the time I was without noticed the consequences. I won’t be without the Somme Institute Transport Pads again!
KINeSYS Sunscreen Spray – I have never reviewed this but I have repurchased this more times than I can count. I first started buying it when my daughter was first born as it was on the safe cosmetics website with a good rating. I immediately fell in love and now use it for both my kids and myself. They have maintained their pasty white perfection through every summer and it is totally non greasy, non sticky, invisible, and so easy to apply. Sunscreen is no longer a yucky endeavour and I pity those poor children having the greasy, white mess rubbed all over them at the beach.
