This week for Makeup Wars we are having a Brand War! Who does it best? When we decided on this topic I immediately thought of Rouge Bunny Rouge. Yes I have many brands that I adore and couldn’t live without. YSL, Armani, Chanel, to name a few. But one it comes to thinking of one brand that excels at every aspect of the cosmetics industry I think of Rouge Bunny Rouge. Some of you may not even be aware of this niche brand. You won’t find it at a drugstore or department store near you. For the most part customers Worldwide need to make a show of faith and order online. This is something I have done again, and again with no regrets. You need not fear when purchasing sight unseen from Rouge Bunny Rouge. I don’t know if it’s possible to get a lemon or dud from this brand. Am I being paid to sing these praises? No. Do I receive samples from Rouge Bunny Rouge? Yes, on occasion. After a long period of spending my own hard earned money and taking a gamble on the brand I do receive the occasional press sample. But receiving samples never alters my perceptions nor end reviews of a product. Hey if I had the means I would have purchased the whole darn line by now I think! One can dream…
So why the big love fest for Rouge Bunny Rouge? Well there are many reasons. I would have to say the foremost reason is the exceptional quality and beauty of their products ACROSS THE BOARD. Now we all know there are some brands that excel at one, or two, or maybe even three or four types of product lines. They have excellent eyeshadows but their lip products aren’t the best. Or they have beautiful blushes but their complexion products miss the mark. Well I don’t know if Rouge Bunny Rouge knows how to make a bad product. They have a very cultivated line of high quality products that are high performing and beautiful. They rarely, if ever, disappoint. They don’t come out with a slew of new limited edition products every week, month, or season. New product releases are very well thought out and engineered and always (if I’m not mistaken) become part of the permanent lineup of products. Add to this the fact that they are cruelty free, have incredible customer service, have the most beautiful and unique packaging, and their colour palettes are flattering, universal, and complex and you have a brand that simply every consumer or professional passionate about cosmetics needs to experience. OK now I’m starting to feel like I should get paid! LOL Oh and I mustn’t forget another very important factor, especially considering you are ordering online. I have never seen a cosmetic brand that has as detailed and accurate colour descriptions as Rouge Bunny Rouge.
So, since we are featuring an entire brand I need to be succinct in how I display my affection to you. I simply can’t show you product shots and give you full reviews of every product in the line. I thought “what would me readers most want to see?” and my, hopefully accurate, answer was: SWATCHES! You can of course peruse my previous reviews of Rouge Bunny Rouge products for more detailed reviews and imagery of these products but hopefully this swatchfest will portray the beauty of Rouge Bunny Rouge. This isn’t my full collection but should be a nice taste to tempt you.
We all know how hard it is to find quality matte eyeshadows. Well Rouge Bunny Rouge just happens to make outstanding ones that are soft, creamy, oh so blendable, and never chalky. These are a VERY regular part of my routine. Here are swatches of all six shades of the Long-lasting Matt Eye Shadow When Birds Are Singing…

The regular formula of the Long-lasting Eye Shadow When Birds Are Singing… is every eyeshadow lover’s fantasy. Richly pigmented, complex, multifaceted, long wearing, and blendable.

Don’t let the name fool you. The Rouge Bunny Rouge Fire Drops Loose Glitter Pigment is not scary glitter. They are loose shadows with ingenious no mess packaging and a gleaming multidimensional shimmering finish.

Rouge Bunny Rouge makes complexion products that give you a perfected canvas that looks natural and fresh. Never cakey or artificial. I have used a full bottle of their Milk Aquarelle Liquid Foundation that has a lovely mousse texture. Their new foundation Skin Sanctuary Time Defying Foundation is even more perfect for me as it has a more hydrating and luminous finish for my dry skin. I finished a full bottle of their wonderfully light Prelude in the Clouds Aqua primer and it is one of my favourite primers. The Fine-Spun Light Luminous Skin Wand is a great illuminating under eye concealer that offers a nice amount of coverage. Another favourite of mine.

Obviously my collection of blushes is a little lacking but here are a couple of the lovely Original Skin Blush. I have also included a couple swatches of their liquid and powder highlighters. They are infamous for their incredible gorgeous Seas of Illumination Highlighting Liquids are for good reason. I just received their powder version the Loves Lights Highlighting Powder and it is my absolute dream highlighter finish. Beautiful subtle glow without glitter or shimmer. Perfect for those of us that love natural looking highlighters.

Rouge Bunny Rouge has a lovely assortment of Lip Gloss lines that are non sticky and have beautiful sophisticated shimmer. Most tend to be a medium pigmentation.

The Rouge Bunny Rouge Forever Yours Long-Lasting Lip Liners are a staple in my pro kit. They have beautiful and flattering shades and they are incredibly waterproof and budge proof. Start your lip look by filling in with these liners and your lip look will last and last. Perfect for my brides.
