Contouring is probably the biggest “trend” going on in the beauty world these days. While I think the whole contouring thing has been taken to a very comical and unrealistic extreme I must say I am delighted with the abundance of contouring products being released on the market as a result. The MAKE UP FOR EVER Pro Sculpting Duo Undetectable Face Contour Powder ($39 US/$45 CAD) is one of the most recent releases. I was very excited to try it because I am a huge MUFE fan.

Being promoted with the contour duo is the MAKE UP FOR EVER 156 Large Flat Blush Brush ($37 US/$43 CAD). It is the perfect fit for picking up product from the divided compact. It is soft and fluffy enough to allow easy application and blending but flat enough to contour to the fit of the curved pans as well as to the contours of your face.

There are two shades available:
- 1 Pink Beige (shown) – for fair to medium skin
- 2 Golden – for medium to deep skin

1 Pink Beige includes a highlighter with a finely milled metallic sheen with a subtle pink reflection. It is a very beautiful highlighter. In the sun you can pick up ultra fine multicoloured shimmer in the pink ivory shade. It can be applied heavily for an intense highlight but also can be applied sheerly for a subtle highlight. It never looks glittery or sparkly due to the finely milled property of the powder and ultra fine shimmer.
The “contour” side is really a bronzer. I don’t like contouring with a such a warm shade. It is a lovely bronzer. It warms up my fair skin without looking orange or muddy. It has a beautiful satin finish that melts into your complexion with a natural skin like finish.

I love multipurpose products and this bronzer/highlighter duo is beautiful quality. I am a little disappointed that the shades aren’t what I consider optimal for a sculpting/contouring purposes but as a bronzer/highlighter combo I will be reaching for this often.
