The new MAKE UP FOR EVER Artist Acrylip Lip Paints ($24 US/$29 CAD) are a vibrant and intensely pigmented new liquid lip product. The Acrylips are formulated with synthetic mica and ultra-fine, triple ground pigments to give intense colour payoff. The mineral clay in the the base is responsible of the lightweight and non-greasy texture. Lips are nourished with castor seed oil and silica gel smooths lip lines.
The lip paint is packaged in a squeeze tube with a felt tip applicator that you squeeze the product out through. The applicator does a nice job of applying the lip paint evenly and with a surprising amount of precision.
These lip paints do feel very nice on the lips. Light, creamy, and comfortable with a lovely shine. The shades I tried are all very vibrant. Looking at the full ten shade range it looks like all the shades are quite bold and colourful. There aren’t really any nude, or neutral offerings.
The shades I have tested are 202 Coral Pink, 301 Poppy Orange, and 600 Dark Purple.
I have mixed feelings on these. They look beautiful on but they do transfer. A lot. You will have the lip paint on your cups, straws, and possibly even smudged around your mouth. I also found I experienced an issue with it ending up on my teeth more than I’ve experienced with other lip products.
