MAKE UP FOR EVER has added some new shades to their waterproof Aqua family for summer. Perfect for summer are the new Aqua Rouge 23 Apricot Pink and 21 Cool Candy Pink. I have Cool Candy Pink to share with today.
I have raved about the MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Rouge ($24 US/$29 CAD) products many times before. These double-ended lip colours truly are waterproof, smudge-proof, and kiss proof. #8 Iconic Red remains my number one choice when it comes to wearing a red lip. You can seriously take a tissue and rub to heck out of your lips and the colour won’t budge one iota.
#21 Cool Candy Pink is aptly named. It is a gorgeous bright cool toned pink. I find these lighter shades a little harder to wear in the Aqua Rouge family because the pigmentation is so opaque they can come off a little chalky. Cool Candy Pink applies very well though and as long as care is taken you can apply a nice even layer and know it’s going to last basically all day unless you eat something oily to break up the product.
Shown on the left is the colour alone which dries with a matte finish. I actually really like wearing the Aqua Rouge’s this way. Shown on the right is the colour with the clear top coat applied on top for a rich glossy shine.
If you’re looking a lip colour that won’t let you down you can’t go wrong with Aqua Rouge.
