I may not have been that excited about the release of the 50 Shades of Grey movie but I was certainly excited about MAKE UP FOR EVER‘s partnership with the movie and the makeup sets they launched to celebrate it’s release.

Today I am sharing with you the MAKE UP FOR EVER Give In To Me Alluring Color for Eyes & Lips Set ($79 CAD) which is a collection of gorgeous makeup in a beautiful keepsake box. The set features a quad of Artist Eyeshadows so you know I was all over that!

As Ana gets involved with Christian Grey, she begins to dress the part and I gave her more maturity in her look. Her eyes became shaded, a little deeper and stronger, her eyebrows were a little more groomed and shaped, and her lips became deeper-colored. Victoria Down, Makeup Department Head 50 Shades of Grey.
The set comes in cardboard box featuring a promotional image from the movie. Inside is the black, cushioned keepsake box. I was actually surprised by just how nice this box was and how much I liked it.

The lid has a band of pretty pink featuring quotes/phrases from the movie in metallic silver.

Inside the box you find a “secret” compartment on the left and all the makeup items nestled in plastic placeholders on the right.

On the left is a decorative key (it doesn’t actually turn or release anything) that you can grab onto to lift the lid of the covered compartment.

Once you remove the plastic piece that holds the products you have an open compartment on the right.

Now lets get into the real treasures in this box. The makeup!

The Give In To Me set includes:
- 4 Artist Shadow Palette
I-514 – pink ivory iridescent
S-556 – taupe grey satin
ME-612 – silver brown metallic (huh I think it’s copperish?)
I-628 – reptile iridescent - Graphic Liner – black
- Smoky Extravagant Mascara – black
- Rouge Artist Natural Lipstick N4 – pink beige
- Lab Shine Lip Gloss D-14 – shimmering indian pink (Diamond Collection)

I am really pleased with the colour offerings in this set. The quad is very versatile and can easily go from very tame to very sexy. I love how they paired the copper with the khaki. I love the combination, and while it might make some more neutral makeup lovers nervous, I think it encourages some fun play and exploration. (Just like the movie… ha ha.) Of course you don’t have to use them together but could use one or the other with the other two shades in the palette for two very different looks. Me, if I have a bunch of colours in a palette, I like to slap them all on!

Here is the look I did with the collection. I’m wearing the cream of the inner corner and brow bone, copper on the lid and lower lashline, khaki on the outer v into the crease, and the taupe to blend it all out. I am wearing the lipstick with the gloss on top and the Smoky Extravagant mascara. I ended up applying the Khaki wet as my liner as liquid liners do not flatter my wrinkly ‘ol eyes. I obviously slept on my side too much last night. Just look at those damn sleep creases on my lid! UGH!

The MAKE UP FOR EVER 50 Shades of Grey Collection is limited edition and exclusive to Sephora. I am sad to say that it looks like in the last day or two the Give in to Me Set has sold out at Sephora. I only see the (beautiful) Desire Me Cheek Set in stock. Hopefully you have already picked it up or can find it in store!
