Well ladies. I have a new obsession. The L’Oreal Paris Extraordinaire by Colour Riche Lip Colour ($12.99 CAD). These new lip colours could be considered a liquid lipstick or a lip gloss. They offer the intense glossy finish of a lip gloss with the high impact pigment of a liquid lipstick. They look and feel extraordinary (pun intended) and I am officially obsessed.
These lip colours have a Parisian influence with their lustrous and enchanted finish. They offer rich light reflecting pigment and precious Micro-Oils for plump, hydrated, and comfortable lips. They don’t slip and slide all over the lips but rather stay put with a lush, cushy, comfy feel with no stickiness whatsoever. They last for hours which really surprised me. The packaging is beautiful and sophisticated and I love the window showing the shade. There are 16 shades of Extraordinaire by Colour Riche available.
Shade 103 Blushing Harmony has become one of my favourite everyday lip colours. It is a beautiful mauve toned pink with the subtlest shimmer that is barely detectable. As will all the Extraordinaire shades it gives lips a lush, plump look.
Shade 201 Rose Symphony is a bright, warm pink with ultra fine shimmer. It has just the right amount of vividness to brighten up a look without making too much of a statement. It’s so pretty!
303 Rouge Allegro is a cherry pink red. It is a stunning red without being too in your face and is a perfect red for those with fair skin who’s complexions tend to amplify colours. This one settles in lips lines a teeny bit but it isn’t visible with normal wear.
I’m sure many of you are wondering how these compare to the L’Oreal Colour Riche Caresse Shine Stains released last year. They are not the same at all. The Shine Stains did the sort of setting to a stain base and glossy top layer that the YSL Glossy Stains do but not as successfully. If you recall my review they didn’t work out for me because all the shades I tried took on a orange/warm tone including cool shades like Lilac Ever After. The Extraordinaire is certainly a far different formula.
Available in December 2013 at Canadian mass market retailers and select drugstores across Canada.
