They’re back baby! The L’Oréal Collection Privée Nudes released in Canada for a limited time last September, and months later in the US, was a huge success. Inspired but the legendary L’Oréal Paris spokesmodels this collection of stunning, versatile, and highly wearable nudes was a huge hit and thanks to popular demand, (see sometimes brands DO listen!) the renowned collection is back as the L’Oréal Collection Exclusive Nudes.
The L’Oréal Collection Exclusive Nudes Lip Colour ($10.99 CAD) shades match their original releases of Eva, Freida, J Lo, and Doutzen. They have also added two new shades Jue and Liya! When I compared shades I only saw the slightest variation in some shades. What you may expect with different batches of the same colour. They have also added two new shades Julianne and Liya! The nail polish shades are different with this release and are in full sized bottles as opposed to the cute, slender, small bottles released last fall.
The formula of these lipsticks is really nice. A bit on the sheer side with a nice softly glossy finish with average wear time. It does have a fairly strong scent. It is the traditional L’Oréal lipstick scent. I really love the colour offerings. While they are obviously geared towards the model’s individual skintone I find the shades quite wearable across a broad spectrum of complexions.
See on lip swatches of Jennifer (J Lo), Freida, Doutzen, and Eva here. I will try to update with lip swatches of the new shades soon.
The L’Oréal Collection Exclusive Nudes Nail Colours ($6.99 CAD) pair well with their coordinating lipsticks without being totally matchy matchy. The four I tried had nice formulas that were opaque in two coats. All but Eva on the ones I tried were cream finishes. Eva has a very subtle hidden shimmer pink shimmer. So pretty!
You should be able to find the collection now at mass market retailers and drugstores across Canada.
