I always get so excited to see what Lise Watier is going to release with their seasonal collections. You can be guaranteed it will include exceptional products with unique and beautiful packaging. Well the Lise Watier Rivages Summer 2015 Collection exceeded my expectations. This is one of my favourite collections they have released. Inspired by the natural sunny beauty of the beach, the Rivages collection has everything you need to look amazing this summer.
The star of the collection is this limited edition Lise Watier Palette Rivages Eyeshadow Palette ($54 CAD). The palette includes 10 eyeshadows in the amazing long-lasting cream-powder formula that I love. The colours are soft, beautiful neutrals with finishes that range from matte to satin. The shades are just so incredibly flattering and allow you to create such a variety of looks from soft to sultry. I am particularly impressed with the neutral yet eye brightening effects I have been able to create. Often soft shades lack pigment and impact but these are perfection.
The compact is breathtakingly gorgeous. The iridescent lid is reminiscent of the prettiest seashells. LOVE LOVE LOVE.
The limited edition Lise Watier Rivages Bronzing Powder ($39 CAD) has become a fast favourite. I don’t often find myself attracted to bronzers because of my fair skin but this mix of bronze, pink, and gold shades with a light shimmer gives the perfect sun kissed glow on my fair skin. The bronzer gives a natural sun kissed look that isn’t warm. It’s almost a cool brown bronze rather than the typical warm orange bronzer tones we are used to. The powder is incredibly soft and pigmented but can kick up quite a bit of product so can get a tad messy.
There are also two limited edition shades of Lise Watier Blush Fondant Suprême ($30 CAD) in Shell and Sand. Shown is Shell which is a bright, cheerful coral.
The collection brings us three new permanent shades of Rouge Sublime Lipstick ($23 CAD). I love these lipsticks because they are pigmented and creamy but have a soft quality to them that is incredibly flattering on the lips. Shown are Amour and Ginger. Amour is such a pretty, perfect soft pink. Also available is Éclectique.
One of the products I was most excited about in the collection is the new (and now permanent) Smokey Kohl Velours ($21 CAD) eyeliner in Nude Velours. It is a creamy matte nude that is utterly perfect. It is not too light, not too dark. It gives opaque coverage and brightens the lower waterline and inner corner naturally rather than garishly. It lasts better than any other brightening liner I’ve ever used in my waterline. I am so excited this is permanent! I won’t be without it and I need to pick one up now for my pro kit.
The collection also introduces two new regular line shades of 24hrs Glam Eyeshadow ($23 CAD) Sexy Glam and Chic Glam as well as one limited edition shade City Glam. These waterproof stick eyeshadows make the perfect base for your eye look and also work beautifully as eyeliners. Sexy Glam is a shimmery pale pink, Chic Glam (not shown) is a shimmering champagne, and City Chic is a bold, bright, turquoise green with blue glitter.
The regular line Magic Lip Colour Enhancer ($24 CAD) is a a ph adjusting product with a soft minty flavour. It is enriched with mango butter to hydrate the lips and works beautifully as a balm. I love this product because most ph adjusting products go an intense fuchsia shade on me. This one however transforms into the most lovely rosy shade that is subtle but brightens the face naturally.
And now onto the look.
For this look I used Sexy Glam 24hrs Glam as a base on my lids. For the eyes I used the following shades from the Palette Rivages: bottom left from crease to brow, bottom second from left in crease, bottom third from left on lid, bottom far right on outer v, top second from right on lower lashline. I also used the Nude Velours pencil on my waterline and Lise Watier Waterproof Eyeliner in Smokey Grey (regular line) in upper lashline.
On cheeks I used the Blush Fondant Suprême in Shell and the Rivages Bronzing Powder. On lips I’m wearing the Rouge Sublime lipstick in Amour.
