One thing we can count on with Holiday collections is the release of highlighters. I find, particularly with holiday collections, that most illuminating powders are far too shimmery and glittery for my tastes. I love a highlighter that is refined, subtle, sophisticated. Well this holiday season has been full of pleasant surprises for me. This Lise Watier Jardin de Givre Illuminating Powder ($36 CAD) being one of them.

The powder is housed in a luminous white compact with sparkling peacock feather details that is a smaller version of the Palette Jardin de Givre compact.

The powder is very soft, creamy not powdery. The shimmer is fine giving more of a sheen than a sparkle. Applied heavily this could get frosty but by nature the effect is not frosty at all. I was worried it may be too dark on my fair skin but blended together the shade is perfect. I have also been applying just the light shade as my brow bone highlight for my eye looks.

I can see this highlighter becoming part of my regular rotation. If you have been looking for a beautifully package, affordable, luminous powder that is not over the top then I recommend checking out the Jardin de Givre Illuminating powder.
The Lise Watier Jardin de Givre Illuminating Powder is limited edition and is available at Lise Watier counters and LiseWatier.com now until January 2014.
