Probably the star products for the Spring 2013 Lancome In Love Spring 2013 Collection are the Blush In Love cheek colours in Peche Joue-Joue and Pommettes D’Amour ($52 CAD). I am reviewing Pommettes D’Amour for you today.

The blush is housed in cardboard packaging. Not my favourite kind of packaging but totally cute in this case so I’ll deal! The compact has a flip top that secures with a magnetic closure as well as a removable mirror.

Pommettes D’Amour Blush In Love has two shades of blush. A bright, cool pink and a coral. It is possible to use these colours separately but I much prefer just swirling my brush freely in the pan to get a blended shade. There is a small amount of shimmery overspray on the floral details of the pink shade but it is quickly removed. The blush itself has a satin finish.

Below are swatches of the individual shades as well as blended in direct, natural light.

When I first swatched the blush I found the result a bit sheer and lacking pigment. I was concerned I wasn’t going to “love” the Blush In Love formula. When in use on the cheeks though this blush gives a nice amount of colour with a soft, translucent finish that allows you to achieve a really natural looking glow or build it up with ease for a more impactful cheek. I’ve found myself to be quite fond of it and the gorgeous, fresh glow it gives to my skin. I will be sure to get a Look post up soon featuring the Lancome In Love Spring 2013 collection so you can see it in action.
The Lancome In Love Spring 2013 Makeup Collection is available now at department stores, select drugstores, and at Lancome.ca. It is also available online at Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, and Bergdorf Goodman.
