Lancôme’s new Gloss In Love lip gloss is appealing to all my makeup loving sensibilities. Innovative and fun packaging, vibrant and intense colours and pigmentation, shine and sparkle, this gloss has it all. I am indeed in love with Lancôme Gloss In Love.
See that little square button on the neck of the tube? That is the release button for the wand. It pop up to be removed from the tube. When you are done your application you simply push the wand back in the tube and it secures with a click. Super fun! I have to get used to not picking up the tub and twisting the cap. Luckily I have been using this lipgloss so much this past weekend I have already gotten used to this new packaging! The wand has a curved applicator that hugs your lower lip. The other side offers a high-precision tip for upper lip application. I find the curved application can sometimes apply a little too much product to the inside of your lower lips but over all it works really great for two swipe application.
Its secret: at the heart of a magnifying glass-effect crystalline base, the breakthrough association of two polymers – one glossy, one flexible – to form a supple, shiny three-dimensional network on lips’ surface. Pigments and mother-of-pearl to shine through to their fullest potential, allowing for radiant colour with this new-generation absolute-comfort and non-sticky texture, able to moisturise lips for 6 hours.
The formula is a dream. I am not a fan of sheer glosses. 90% of the time I like to just wear my gloss by itself. Don’t get me wrong. I do love a beautiful “lipstick topper” gloss but you really only need so many. I am always looking for great, pigmented lip glosses that apply evenly and have decent lasting power. The Gloss in Love satisfies all my requirements and looks FANTASTIC doing it. This gloss has already earned me compliments. It is comfortable, non-sticky, moisturizing, and has great wear time for a gloss. It has both glassy shine and well and beautiful, mature sparkle courtesy of mother of pearl. The gloss is subtly scented with a lovely vanilla and fruit scent.
