Today I have some products from the new INGLOT What A Spice! Collection for Fall 2016 to share with you.
The packaging on the products is the standard simple and sleek black INGLOT packaging. I have an eyeshadow duo and a lip combo to share with you in perfect tones for fall.
I have two of the INGLOT Freedom System Eyeshadows ($12 CAD) from the collection housed in an INGLOT Freedom System Palette (2) Square with Mirror ($8 CAD). There are a total of ten shades in the collection. The shades shown are:
- Pearl 397 – a shimmery peachy beige.
- Matte 304 – a deep neutral-cool matte brown.
These two shadows are really all you need to create a beautiful eye look. You can use 397 packed on the lid, on the inner corner, and lightly dusted on the brow bone with 304 applied to the outer v and blended out into the crease as well as the lower lash line. You could also do a smokier look by using more of 304 on the lid.
The collection also includes ten new gorgeous fall shades of INGLOT Matte Lipstick ($19 CAD). The formula contains Vitamin E, Macadamia Oil, and Avocado Oil to moisturize lips while offering a matte finish. The shade I have is the INGLOT What A Spice! Lipstick in Matte 442 which is a medium deep brown that is quite the statement lip. The formula is said to be rich and creamy but I found the formula, and least with the shade I have, to be very stiff and dry, and dragged on the lips during application. This made it fairly difficult to get an even application. It does offer a true, full matte finish. I didn’t find it warmed much to the lips to improve glide. It didn’t feel uncomfortable though and I got exceptional wear time.
The collection also introduces five new shades of INGLOT Colour Play Lipliner ($17 CAD) that coordinate perfectly with the lipsticks in the collection. This is a great richly pigmented, opaque liner that glides on and offers very long, smudge proof wear. I have the What A Spice! Colour Play Lipliner in 321 which is a medium brown and works perfectly with Matte 442 lipstick.
Swatch time!
All of the eyeshadows in this collection are great staples to add to any collection. The lip colours range from great everyday nudes and neutrals to more impactful shades like the one shown. I love that the INGLOT What A Spice! collection really is a collection of spicy neutrals that are perfect for the cooler months.
