Over the past couple months I’ve been sharing with you details on the Towards Tomorrow Event going on from March 5th to May 31st, 2016 at the Square One Shopping Centre in Mississauga.
Today I’m going to share with you what I would do if I was touring around the city of Toronto in my Toyota City Savvy Vehicle. For me that would have to be the incredibly gorgeous Blue Crush Metallic Toyota Prius.
Outside of coming into the city for media events, when I come to Toronto it is all about two things for me, amazing shopping and great food! The best thing about the Toyota Prius is that it’s small size and nimble handling make it a breeze to park when I’m hopping from place to place. The hybrid technology means that I won’t experience the dreadful fuel mileage that regular vehicles experience during city driving. I can shop guilt free… plus more money for shopping right?!
One of my favorite places to hit up when I’m shopping in Toronto is The Detox Market. This is like the ultimate destination for high quality, non-toxic beauty products. They also have a great selection of home fragrance and cleaning products as well. I always feel like a kid in a candy store in this place. There are just so many incredible products and new brands to discover. They have two locations in Toronto which is really handy.
Another must while in Toronto is a visit to Holt Renfrew. The luxury lover in me loves checking out the expansive range of beauty and fashion brands they have there. Even if I’m just “window shopping”. Not too far away from Holt Renfrew is 6 by Gee Beauty. I first discovered this lovely shop when they became the one and only Le Labo fragrance bar in Canada. I am a huge fragrance junkie, and have been a long time fan of Le Labo, so when I heard the news it was being carried in Toronto I had check it out. 6 by Gee Beauty has so much to offer. They carry a continually changing, edited assortment of diverse fashion and accessories. I’m lucky I live far enough away that I’m not tempted to go into the store daily just to see what’s new.
After I’ve thoroughly exhausted myself shopping I would head to the Distillery District in Toronto to one of my favourite restaurants, El Catrin. This is such delicious, authentic Mexican restaurant. The atmosphere and decor at this place are so incredibly cool. From the giant ornamental light fixtures, to the sky high wall of tequila at the bar, everything about this place is incredible. One of the best parts of El Catrin, aside from the amazing food, is their outdoor patio. It is probably one of the coolest outdoor spaces in Toronto. So far I have only been to El Catrin in the winter so I am dying to return and visit the patio! After I’m stuffed full of yummy freshly made at my table guacamole and tasty tacos, I’ll probably have to tour around the Distillery District checking out some cute shops. This is definitely an area you need to check out when in Toronto.
What are your favorite places to visit in Toronto? What would you love to explore touring around the city in a fabulous city savvy vehicle from Toyota? If you are going to be in the Toronto area then I highly recommend checking out the Towards Tomorrow Brand Gallery that is located in the old Target space on the 2nd floor of Square One in Mississauga.
