Believe it or not, I have been without knee high black boots (a wardrobe staple), for years. Each year I would look, but it seemed everything I loved with out of my budget. Anything I liked that was affordable, I didn’t seem to like enough to commit. Part of the problem of course, is that shopping isn’t very accessible for me so the majority of my shopping is done online. That can be a little trickier where footwear is concerned.
When I went into The Shoe Company recently on the hunt for boots and I had high hopes. I’ve always had great luck shoe shopping there and I can always feel confident I’m getting a good deal. I have such a great experience shopping there because I don’t have to worry about finding my size, or feeling awkward bothering sales people to keep fetching me more shoes. It also doesn’t matter how busy it is because you never have to wait for an associate. The Shoe Company has all their footwear out on display with their stock conveniently at your disposal beneath the display models. I can’t tell you how much I love this. I admit I can be a little impatient shopping and this way I can walk up and down the aisles scoping out styles and immediately try on something that catches my eye. No waiting or hassle.
I went in looking for either flat black knee high boots or ones with heels that would still be comfortable. I was looking for something on the dressier side (not full on winter snow boots) that would be classy but have a bit of an edge. The Fergalicious Stacked Back Lace On Heel boots fit the bill perfectly. The sale price of $74.88 made the find even sweeter. These are zip up synthetic upper boots with a 2 inch stack heel that is very comfortable to walk in. They have the faux leather upper sort of overlaid over the front of the boot covering a bit of the heel with a laced up detail at the back over the heel. So cute! They have a bit of a lining in them, and the soles have a good amount of grip, meaning I can wear them out for dinner or errands without worrying about slipping or my feet freezing.
For this look I decided to pair the boots with one of my favorite kind of outfits. Leggings and a tunic sweater. These faux leather detail leggings and sweater from Dynamite have been a go to outfit for me this winter.
