I have long hated the thought of what using conventional antiperspirants have been doing to my body. I have continued to use them though, because no matter how many natural alternatives I tried, I couldn’t find anything that actually worked. Affordable, expensive, it didn’t seem to matter. Not only did I find the natural deodorants didn’t work, I actually found that they made me smell worse than if I had worn nothing at all. Throughout the day they would all go from smelling nice, to smelling funky, and would actually seem to create BO. Well I can’t begin to tell you how freaking excited I am that I have FINALLY found something that works. And works WELL!

It is fast-absorbing, non-greasy, non-sticky, free of aluminum, propylene glycol, gluten, parabens & phthalates. It is available in a Full-Size Jar (2oz) and the just released new Stick Deodorant (2.650z).

To give you an idea of the ingredients here are the ingredients of the Bergamot + Lime Jar version: Ingredients: Butyrospermum parkii (shea butter), Sodium bicarbonate (baking soda), Maranta arundinacea (arrowroot) powder, Theobroma cacao (cocoa) seed butter, Citrus bergamia (bergamot) essential oil, Citrus aurantifolia (lime) essential oil, Tocopherol (vitamin E), Humulus lupulus (hop) extract.
The jar versions are packaged in beautiful glass jars and includes a metal spatula for removing the product from the jar. The deodorant is in a solid form and you apply it after warming it between your fingers to soften. You need only a small amount of product per application so I see this lasting quite a while.
The new stick version is handy because you don’t have to go through the process of scooping out the product and warming it between your fingers to apply. You can apply straight from the stick. I did find that it was still necessary to rub the product in with my fingers after applying from the stick.
Both scents I tested, Bergamot + Lime and Lavender + Sage, are really lovely. Bergamot + Lime is my favourite! So fresh.
I found both formats to perform equally well but find myself gravitating to the jar version more just because I think subconsciously I expect the original version to perform better for some reason. I have been testing them out through some very hot fall weather. We had a few days last week that were 30ยบ with the humidity. Really sweaty hot. I also have tested these out during my PIYO workouts. They worked so well that I could bury my head in my armpits at the end of the day and I smelled GOOD. I am completely blown away. I even made my husband smell my armpits because I just couldn’t get over how well it worked. I am so excited. I was also surprised that it actually helped keep me as dry as my usual clinical antiperspirant would. That was a bonus I wasn’t expecting. If you are a heavy sweater you will likely end up wetter using a natural deodorant than you would an antiperspirant obviously, but for me the wetness absorption properties this has seemed to be sufficient and I do consider myself to be a bit of a sweater.
