I must admit that I was positively giddy when the new Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette Set arrived on my doorstep.

The set comes nestled in a shiny red and gold box.

There is a cute little 5ml Veil Mineral Primer included.

The packaging is similar to the standard Ambient Lighting Powder packaging but it is longer and narrower.

The Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette (USD $58 | CAD $67) contains two existing shades (Dim Light and Radiant Light) and one new limited edition shade (Incandescent Light). It also comes with a 5ml-size Veil Mineral Primer to create the perfect canvas for your holiday look. Each shade is 3.3 grams for a total product weight of 9.9 grams. The regular individual Ambient Lighting Powders are 10 grams each meaning this palette of 3 shades is equivalent to 1 full sized pan product wise. Therefore you are paying more per gram for the convenience of having more than one shade in one compact. I think it is totally worth it! I don’t often finish a product given the collection I have so having 3 shades rather than one is a huge benefit for me.
- Dim Light: A neutral peach beige powder that blurs imperfections and highlights a radiant complexion with a balance of warm and cool tones.
- NEW Incandescent Light: A pearlescent powder that highlights the cheekbones and brightens the complexion with a celestial glow.
- Radiant Light: A sun-kissed golden beige powder that enhances the overall complexion with believable, subtle warmth.

Swatches of Dim Light, Incandescent Light, Radiant Light

Swatches with the other Ambient Lighting shades I own; Mood Light, Ethereal Light, Diffused Light, then Dim Light, Incandescent Light, Radiant Light

I have been itching to own Dim Light ever since these were released. I am not disappointed. It has the same finish as Mood Light which makes it a little more glowy than Ethereal Light and Diffused Light while still not being shimmery. The new shade Incandescent Light as well as Radiant Light have more noticeable shimmer. Incandescent has lovely fine greeny/blue and pink micro shimmer in a soft nude pink base while Radiant is golden micro shimmer in a bronze base. When I say noticeable shimmer I mean in comparison to the other shades of Ambient Lighting Powder. They are still very refined and subtle and suitable for all over use with a light hand. If you enjoy a subtle highlight as I do then you will adore Dim Light and Incandescent Light for a gorgeous, natural glow.
