The Guerlain Météorites Perles D’Étoile Light Revealing Pearls of Powder ($67 CAD) from the Guerlain Un soir à l’Opéra Holiday 2014 Collection are truly a thing of beauty. The container is crafted entirely in golden metal with beautiful details. The lid features the famous bow inspired by Coque d’Or sculpted into the surface.
The interior of the container is lined in red. One of the most luxurious parts of the presentation is the very soft, plush red powder puff with bow detail. It is so lovely.
Perles d’Étoile brings a new harmony of pearls. There are a blend of six different pearls with 3 different targeted benefits. Correcting Colours, Light-Enhancing Colours, and Unifying Colours. They enhance the complexion giving your skin a radiant and luminous glow.
Cupping my balls. Ha ha I had to. Just making sure you’re paying attention!
The overall effect of the Perles d’Étoile is a soft golden bronze. The finish built up in a heavy swatch as seen below is a lovely, natural, luminous sheen. When applied to the face the effect is even more refined as you would not apply as heavily. I wore this to a photoshoot on the weekend and it photographs so beautifully. If you are fair like me do not be afraid of these Holiday Météorites. While there are a lot of warm tones in this harmony when you apply them with a finishing brush the effect is very, very subtle. While subtle the luminous and healthy look it gives your skin is unmistakable.
I love the Guerlain Météorites Perles d’Étoile and I think they would make and excellent gift. They are very universal and the presentation and packaging is divine.
