The Guerlain Spring Glow Spring 2016 Collection brings the addition of a new long-lasting eyeliner to the Guerlain range, the Guerlain The Eye Pencil ($38 CAD).

Available in five shades, this water resistant khol liner has a creamy, non dragging formula that applies with ease. The end of the pencil has a smudger tip for blending out the liner if you wish to achieve a softer look. The pencil really does blend out beautifully, and while I usually prefer to use eyeshadow on my lower lashline, I really like how these pencils looked blended out there. Once set the formula remained very budge proof for me as long as I had other makeup on. On bare skin it did smudge over time. I was also delighted to discover that wearing Black Jack on my upper waterline resulted in no transfer to my lower waterline. I usually experience at least a little bit of transfer with the majority of eyeliners in my stash.

The shades I tested were Black Jack, a richly pigmented black, and Khaki Driver, a shimmering deep khaki. I found with swatching Khaki Driver appeared to apply a little sheerly but on my eye I had a very opaque line with little effort. It also took on a deeper, greener hue on my lids.

The other available shades are Jackie Brown, Deep Purple, and Katy Navy.
I am quite pleased with these and they will be making the cut to be added to my regular eyeliner arsenal.
