The Spring 2014 Guerlain Meteorites Blossom Colletion brings us this stunning new Ecrin 4 Couleurs Eyeshadow Palette in 503 Les Tendres. Oh my goodness I can’t imagine another spring release beating this quad for me at the moment. I know the colour combination may seem a little odd at first but as usual Guerlain knows how to work magic.

The palette starts with a gorgeous, eye brightening shimmering soft rose beige. Then the star of the palette. A shimmering aqua green that really enhances the eye brightening effect. Next is a satin finish taupe nude. A perfect crease shade. The palette is rounded out by a matte violet plum to add intensity to the look. My favourite way to be wear it (mind you I love it so much I keep wearing it this way rather than further experimenting!) is to wear the rose beige all over the lid and in the inner corner of the eye. I apply the taupe nude in the crease and then intensify the out corner and into my crease with the matte plum. Then the final touch that makes this look so special is a line my lower lash line with the pale aqua as well as dabbing it with my finger on the centre of my lid. Somehow the aqua works perfectly with the other shades. It doesn’t stand out as “oh hai that chick is wearing aqua eyeshadow” but rather it gives the look an added eye opening, brighting effect and added interest. It is a perfect everyday look that looks natural, soft, PRETTY, and makes it impossible to look away from your eyes. LOVE. LOVE. LOVE. All the shades are soft, buttery, and have good pigmentation. Even the matte plum is so smooth.
