Usually the summer collections are the ones I have the easiest time passing on as all the bronzers and bronzed goddess looks just don’t translate to my fair, cool skin. Well Summer 2012 is causing me quite the turmoil. There are so many beautiful products I’m tempted to try. Guerlain, Chanel, Giorgio Armani, Yves Saint Laurent, I could go on. Guerlain was one that had me captivated early on. The beautiful Pucci packaging and Oh those pretty blue ballz! I ended up restraining myself and only investing in the Guerlain by Emilio Pucci Ecrin 4 Couleurs in Capri from the Guerlain Terra Azzurra Summer Collection so far. I am of course doubting my selection already by questioning orange and warm pink to wear on my skin tone but it was just so darn pretty I couldn’t resist!
The special Emilio Pucci “touch” is reflected in the smokey bronze compact and Winter Capri print on the inside of the box. I wish they had found a way to incorporate that in a more evident way!
The shades include an ivory white with subtle pink/green iridescent sparkle (wish I could have captured that in the pics), bright warm pink with a satin finish, softly shimmering orange leaning coral, and a dark charcoal brown with subtle sparkle. The shades are very pigmented and smooth. Really nice quality. The ivory shade is a bit more sheer but that is just it’s nature, not a flaw.
Swatches are all natural light. Some more indirect while others in more direct sunlight.
I ordered this from Neiman Marcus but you can find it anywhere Guerlain is sold including Bergdorf Goodman, Sephora, Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, Saks, Holt Renfrew, and The Bay.
