Today I am sharing a couple pieces from the Guerlain Bloom of Rose Fall 2015 Collection. I must say I love the new black with a hint of gold Guerlain packaging!

First up we have one of the new Guerlain blushes. The Guerlain Rose Aux Joues Tender Blush ($57 CAD/$52 US) is a much softer formula than the prior version which was a bit harder in the pan. This new formula is smooth and silky and easy to pick up product. The sleek black magnetic closure case with subtle gold Guerlain logo is so chic. Open it up and you are greeted with the delicious Guerlain candied violet scent. Mmmm.

The blush is embossed with a lovely festoon pattern. There is an included blush brush but I found it to be pretty useless. I wish brands, particularly high end ones, would just stop including brushes and have smaller packaging. If you are enough of a makeup lover to indulge in Guerlain I’m sure you have your own blush brushes!

The new formula is all about achieving a natural glow. It uses high tech pigments that reflect and multiply natural red light. “Pink Booster” pigments let this natural red light blend with the skin to enhance each complexion’s natural rosiness.
There are six shades available. No 6 Pink Me Up is the most perfect natural pink flush. It has a transparency that allows it to meld beautifully with the skin. This is such a fool proof blush that perfectly embraces Guerlain’s vision of complementing a woman’s beauty rather than altering it. It can be applied effortlessly for a natural pink flush or built up with ease for a more impactful pink. The finish is a softly radiant glow. No sparkle or glitter in this sophisticated beauty.

The new Guerlain KissKiss RoseLip Hydrating & Plumping Tinted Balm ($41 CAD/$37 US) is one of the most marvellously decadent tinted balms I have experienced. Rose extract and rose oils hydrate, protect and nourish lips while hyaluronic acid plumps. An active oil based polymer smoothes out the lips filling in any wrinkles. I swear this makes my lips look 5 years younger!

The packaging is a stunning white lacquered tube in the KissKiss design with hidden shimmer and a golden top.

There are a total of six shades available. Pink Me Up is a fresh pink that offers a very healthy does of colour to the lips. This is certainly one of the more pigmented tinted balms I have tried, though I can’t speak for the other five shades. It has a very subtle rose scent.
