If you are a sucker for gorgeous packaging then you are going to want to check out the Givenchy Lunar New Year Edition 2018 Collection. Givenchy packaging is already so luxe with it’s genuine leather wrapping and stunning details. The Chinese New Year Collection takes it to another level with the usual black leather accents being replaced with red leather (the emblematic shade of the Spring Festival in China) and pale gold cherry blossoms. So stunning.
The collection includes the iconic Givenchy Prisme Libre Powder ($60 US) in the shade 1 Mousseline Pastel which is is a melody of 4 pastel shades that blend together to create a colour correcting translucent shade with a soft opalescence.
The silky formula is talc free and makes a beautiful and luxurious setting powder with it’s delicate scent of lilac and white musk.
The Chinese New Year lipstick is the Givenchy Le Rouge Lipstick ($40 US) in 305 Rouge Égérie. The shade is described as a bright red and I was expecting a true red lipstick. I was delighted to discover that it is a beautiful, cheery red with a soft pinky coral tone. Very pretty and so perfect for heading into Spring. I mean we are heading into spring soon… right?
I absolutely love the Givenchy Le Rouge formula. It offers amazing colour coverage in a light comfortable formula that if hydrating and flattering on the lips with it’s velvet shine.
They do have a fragrance too them so be aware if that is an issue for you.
Are you loving this packaging as much as I am? The Givenchy lipstick stud details get me every time!
Neat! I’ve only recently heard of Tory Burch (because of their handbags).
Holt Renfrew! Yay! I was hoping this would be available in Canada. My part of Canada seems to miss out on a lot of lines and makeup collections.
