Isn’t she beautiful? Upon first glance I thought this magnificent sheen must be emanating from a cream product. It just seemed so fluid almost. After capturing her virgin beauty on camera I reached out to touch her and was surprised to discover that the limited edition Giorgio Armani Effetto Nudo Belladonna Highlighting Palette ($70 CAD/$88 US) is indeed a powder. A new gel-based formula that is prepared using a cold-cast technique which melds immediately with its case, for a unique feel between powder and cream. It feels very dense in the compact with no powder kick up yet it feels light and silky to the touch.

She almost seems to glow doesn’t she? As if lit from within? Will that etherial glow translate to my skin? Will I look too frosty? Too metallic? Too unnatural?

I need not have worried. For the incredible sheen this highlighter gives should have made me realize that there would be no glitter. No inhuman looking large sparkles on my skin. Rather I would be bathed in a sheer wash of neutral champagne radiance thanks to the micro pearl technology. This Belladonna Lily flower embossed emblematic “Effetto Nudo” palette is designated to offer pure, nude, virtually bare light for a “peau d’ange” effect. The powder can be applied on the face, décolleté or even as an eyeshadow.
See. Even swatched in direct sunlight there is no Edward Cullen effect:

I just love Belledonna. She is far more natural looking than I could ever have dreamed. I like my highlighters to give me a subtle glow. A sheen more than a glittery sparkle. The Giorgio Armani Belladonna Highlighting Palette does just that. It can be built up for a more intense, more metallic sheen, but with normal application it is just, simply, wonderful.

It comes housed in the unique tapered Armani black lacquered mirrored compact with a brush hidden beneath the powder.

If you love highlighters but are very particular about them giving stunning yet natural glow, rather than glitter and sparkle, then you do not want to miss out on the limited edition Giorgio Armani Belladonna Highlighting Palette. Trust me!
