I’ve mentioned previously that the Giorgio Armani Rouge d’Armani lipstick formula is one of my favourites. The colours are gorgeous. The finishes just seem to have that little extra something special. To me, the lipstick goes on very creamy then almost seems to set after a brief period of time. This “setting” results in a very long wear. I can go hours in this formula through coffees, snacks, etc. and not require a touch up. The finish, even though it loses it’s creamy slip (which is actually one of my favourite features) when it sets, still maintains it’s glossiness. I mean the claims are silly. No lip product lasts 8 hours. Why the heck would you want it to? I really don’t understand why companies even try to make those claims. If something can last several hours while looking and feeling great that makes this girl a very happy camper. I also can’t get enough of the unique packaging with the magnetic closure.
From the Giorgio Armani Beauty website:
Exceptional long-wear formula results in up to 8 hours of intense color. Experience comfort and shine, without fading and feathering. Soft texture leaves lips feeling continuously hydrated. Lipstick packaged in an elegant black lacquered case with an exclusive magnetic closure. Sealed with a click.

This lipstick is also evidence of why I love shopping online. I know some people are afraid of trying products without testing in person first but I’m 100% certain that a lot of my favourite items in my collection may never have come home with me if I had been shopping at a counter. I am so much more adventurous when shopping online. I ordered the Rouge d’Armani in 503 from their Friends and Family sale in the US a while back and had a friend ship it up to me. During the wait to receive my treasures I actually ended up having a girls day shopping and having the probably once in a year experience of going to the Armani counter. When I saw 503 I was pretty disappointed. I thought it looked a little scary and not what I’d had in my mind when I’d chosen it from online swatches. I let it sit in my drawer after receiving it for probably two weeks before I tried it on which is really not like me at all. Well I freakin LOVE it! It’s is a medium, bright pink with the subtlest fine gold shimmer that isn’t visible on the lips but gives it a beautiful glow. I never would have came home with it from the counter. Heck I rarely ever come home with anything from the counter but I have no trouble ordering mass quantities of stuff online. 😉
