The star piece of the Giorgio Armani Fall 2014 Fade to Grey Collection is without a doubt the Giorgio Armani Fade to Grey Eyeshadow Palette ($70 CAD).
The two shades of gel powder formula eyeshadows are cold cast in the same pan and embossed with a beautiful pattern. The “micro pearl” technology ensures the micronized pearl and pigment particles remain intact throughout the product right down to the bottom of the pan.
The shades are a smoky grey and a golden toned nude. Both shades have exquisite and complex refined shimmer that make them look oh so luxe.
This stunning palette is housed in the same tapered style compact as their eye/face combo palettes but the bottom tier holds two sponge tipped applicators as opposed to additional product.
Once you delve into the eyeshadow the true beauty of these shades is revealed. The already stunning shades are exposed as being even more complex and beautiful. The grey unveils a purple hue while the golden nude becomes even warmer.
There are endless shade fusions possible depending on how you combine and blend the two shades. I never thought I could be so enamoured with an eye look featuring only 2 eyeshadow. Mind you given my less than perfectly smooth lids I do prefer to work a matte shade into the look for my crease.
Shown below are the two shades individually on the left followed by a mixture achieved by swirling a sponge tipped applicator where the two shades meet in the pan. GORGEOUS isn’t it!
I don’t know about you but for an investment palette worth ($70 CAD/$88 US) I expect to be wowed and the Giorgio Armani Fall 2014 Collector Eye Palette does just that. WOW!
