I originally ordered only one of the four new limited edition Armani Eyes To Kill Intense Eyeshadows from the Summer 2012 Bronze Color Collection in 23 Madra Perla, reviewed here. As soon as I received it I knew I was going to have to order the other three shades. In the spirit of completeness I am adding in the already reviewed Madra Perla to this review.

For the first time, Eyes To Kill Intense unveils a pearl blend that radiates four spellbinding colours. Each of the Eyes to Kill Intense – ‘Obsidian Black’, ‘Obsidian Grey’, ‘Écailles’ and ‘Madre Perla’– is based on a revolutionary technology that acts like a kaleidoscope, producing multidimensional colours.
This season’s must-have, ‘Madre Perla’ is a blend of precious white pearls that instantly radiates ever-changing pink, purple, blue and green light for hours. It can be swept over eyes and temples, like a radiance veil as seen in the Giorgio Armani Spring/Summer 2012 show ‘Nacré’.
Neither a cream nor a powder, this incredible hybrid formula acts like a colour suspension that delivers a dreamy, ethereal beauty to eyes with a 24 hour hold.

I think I will mostly let the pictures speak for themselves. The formula is a delight. The shades have so much depth and dimension. Even the less complex, in comparison, shade Obsidian Grey still offers a little something extra beyond what a typical shimmering grey eyeshadow might. I was very on the fence about ordering it but regardless of the fact it may be somewhat dupable I am still pleased I opted to order it as it is nice to have the same lovely formula to work with for the complete look. I love how it works with the other shades to build up intensity in the outer eye and blend up into the crease. Obsidian Black is a glorious looking liner shade and I look forward to playing with it a little more beyond that capacity.

I wish I could have captured the complexity of these shadows better in my photographs of them on the eye. I will see if I can get better pictures for you later. They look MUCH better than this in real life. Good enough that I wore this look 3 days in a row. That is pretty darn unheard of for me! It also last all day with absolutely no fading.

You can find more swatches and thoughts on these eyeshadows on The Beauty Look Book, Beauty Ops, Pink Sith, Temptalia, along with a lot of other fabulous sites.
These retail for $32US/$42CAN. I purchased these from Neiman Marcus. They can also be found at Barney’s, Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, Saks, Holt Renfew, and of course the Giorgio Armani Beauty website.
