This whole new strobing trend… It’s called highlighting people. Come on! It’s nothing new. But whether you’re looking to highlight, or strobe, these new L’Oreal True Match Lumi Liquid Glow Illuminators and Powder Glow Illuminators will have you doing it beautifully, AND affordably. Both products are new to the True Match Lumi line and feature L’Oreal’s patented Pearl-light Technology to offer optimal colour purity and brightness for intense results with a pearlescent finish.
The drugstore highlighter game has really been taken to a new level with the new L’Oreal True Match Lumi Liquid Glow Illuminator and L’Oreal True Match Powder Glow Illuminator.
The True Match Lumi Liquid Glow Illuminator ($16.99 CAD) is both a primer and highlighter. You can apply the lightweight fluid directly on the high points of your face for a radiance that will seem to glow from within from beneath your foundation. This is also a great illuminating fluid to mix in with your foundation for a dewier finish. The best part about the Liquid Glow is that there is absolutely no glitter or sparkle. It’s just a glorious sheen. You can also apply after foundation to the high points of your face for a bit stronger highlight. Get your full strobe on if you wish.
Available in Ice on the left, Rose on the right, and Golden (not shown).
The True Match Lumi Powder Glow Illuminator ($16.99 CAD) does have a touch of sparkle but thankfully it is very subtle. The overall result is still very understated and natural. I didn’t think it was possible to find such refined highlighters at the drugstore. Colour me impressed! The powder palettes are a combination of 4 shades meant to be used as both blush and highlight to contour the face but as far as I’m concerned the only real way to use this is as a highlighter. The shades are too pale even on my skin to use as a blush and it really isn’t possible to pick up only the darker shades unless you’re using a really small brush. I like to just swirl my brush around in all the shades for a beautiful result.
Available in Golden on the left, and Rose on the right (above).
I am really loving these. They are better quality that a lot of mid-high end highlighters I have. Have you picked any of the new True Match Lumi products up yet? Will you be? Available mid July 2015 so you should start seeing them anytime if you haven’t found them yet.
