NUDESTIX has added several new products to their range recently and I’m going to be sharing some of them with you today.
NUDESTIX #gobronze ($35 US/$38 CAD) is a beautifully packaged set including two Magnetic Eye Color Pencils in Gilt and Immortal. The gold and bronze shades offer a subtle magnetic finish and have great pigmentation and colour payoff. I highly recommend using a primer with these as I always experience quite a bit of creasing and fading. The shadows can be blended out for a sheerer finish or worn more opaquely, even as a liner. They smudge very nicely and give you quite a bit of time to play before setting.
The NUDESTIX Sculpting Pencil ($24 US/$28 CAD) is a dual ended pencil. One end is the Highlight in Light and the other end is the Contour in Medium. There is also a Highlight-Medium/Contour-Dark option available for deeper skintones. The highlight shade is a beautiful pale pinked ivory. It doesn’t have any noticeable shimmer but illuminates beautifully making skin look dewy and glowy. The Contour side I found a bit confusing. It looks basically like a light-medium concealer shade. It’s far too light to do any contouring even on my fair skin. Not to mention it is too warm/peachy for effective contouring. Maybe it could be used as a concealer? Both sides have a lovely creamy consistency that blends like a dream. The formula is infused with skin-conditioning and moisturizing ingredients like shea butter and vitamin E. The concept is great I just wish the contour shade was different.
The NUDESTIX Lip and Cheek Dual Pencil in Soul/Flesh ($24 US/$28 CAD) offers two warm nude shades for lips and cheeks. I really like these for cheeks. They blend beautifully and give a naturally luminous finish on the skin. Flesh is pretty pale for use on cheeks but Soul looks gorgeous. Both shades perform fairly well on lips. They are light and creamy and give sheer colour coverage. The dual pencil is perfect for creating a contoured lip look using Soul on the other areas of the lips and Flesh in the centre to give the illusion of plumper lips. The formula is enriched with lip and skin moisturizing ingredients, including shea butter and vitamin E, and also features peptides that support a youthful plumpness. I get about 1-2 hours wear as a lip colour and 6-7 hours as a cheek colour.
The NUDESTIX Clean-Up Pencil ($24 US/$28 CAD) is a really handy clean up pencil for easily removing powder fall-out, runny eyeliner, mascara transfer and smudges, and eyeliner mistakes. It includes emollient jojoba seed oil to prevent skin pulling and chamomile flower extract to soothe skin.
Another nifty product is the NUDESTIX Moisture Pencil ($24 US/$28 CAD). It is designed to offer ‘stay-put stickiness’ to dry areas, locking in hydration. It’s great for dry, flaky, and irritated skin as a multipurpose, hydrating balm, to soothe red patches and dryness. I like to use it around my nose where I’m always very dry and flaky. It’s formulated with a blend of jojoba oil, vitamin E, argan oil, shea butter, and vitamin C to instantly protect, hydrate, and soften. It can also be used for dry lips and as a lip primer. The best way to apply is to push into the skin and pat. Don’t rub.
I think the best part about the NUDESTIX products is how portable they are and the fabulous tins they come in. The inside of the lid has a full mirror. You can fit multiple NUDESTIX pencils in one tin in your handbag. I also use the tins for storage of other small items in my handbag as you can see in my What’s In My Bag post. All of the pencils also come with their own sharpener. This sharpener has a cap to capture shavings AND you can also use it in place of the standard cap on the pencils as the lid so it’s always accessible!
