Sephora Collection‘s Limited Edition releases for Summer 2014 include several excellent bronzing and blushing products with beautiful matte finishes. I personally prefer my bronzer to be completely matte. Partly because I often use it as a form of contouring, and secondly because I don’t want that much real estate being taken up on my face with a product that is overly shimmery. I will save the glow for my highlighter and sometimes my blush.
The Limited Edition Sephora Collection Bronzed and Blushing Face Palette ($15 US/$18 CAD for 3 x 0.11 oz) is such a versatile palette. I think, especially at this price point, it’s a real must have. It includes the bestselling Los Cabos Bronzer which is a matte bronzer with a perfect natural hue that is not to orange or muddy. A great option for fair skin and a best seller for very good reason. The Blushing Pink Blush is the perfect rosy pink, and the Coral Punch Blush gives a little bolder pop of summer colour. The formula of all three smooth, soft, and nicely pigmented with a beautiful satin matte finish.
The Limited Edition Sephora Collection Sol de Rio Bronzing Powder ($22US/$26 CAD) from the Escape to Rio Collection is a very large sized (25g/0.88oz) mat bronzer. The powder formula has a wonderful silky texture and is moisturizing thanks to the inclusion of jojoba and sunflower oils. The colour is fabulous. No muddiness, no orange tones, just naturally bronzed skin. It performs beautifully for contouring as well. It appears to be sold out online but hopefully can still be found in store.
If you want a more intense bronze that offers the benefit of added sun protection and coverage you can turn to the new Sephora Collection Bronze Perfect CC Cream with SPF 20 ($26 US) This product is great because you get the benefits of the correction and coverage of a CC cream, SPF, and a gorgeous warm bronze you can sheer out or build up to meet your needs. The finish is matte, very skin like, and gives a natural radiance and sun kissed glow to the skin. All this while helping to blur pores and fine lines!

Another new release for summer is the Sephora Collection Carnavàle Brush Clutch ($48 US/$60 CAD).
The Brush Clutch is a made with cork with Rio inspired neon pink paint splatter design accents. Inside you will find a Powder brush, Stippling brush, Shadow brush, Smudge brush, and Liner brush with coordinating handles.
I really like the brush shapes included in this set and the bristles are very soft.
