For 2016 FORMULA X has collaborated with ten powerhouses in beauty, fashion, and wellness to create limited edition, monthly collections of three shades that capture each influencers unique style to create the FORMULA X #ColorCurators Collection. For April they have teamed up with ballet fitness guru Mary Helen Bowers of Ballet Beautiful. Mary is a professional ballerina and fitness trainer and brains behind the beautiful site Ballet Beautiful. This collection of three shades is all about the timeless and graceful beauty of the ballerina.
- Satin Slippers – ballerina pink. This is a pretty peachy ivory with a frosted finish. I found this to be a pretty unique shade. At least to my collection. It does have quite a frosty finish so it can enhance any unevenness in the nail.
- Lilac Fairy – soft lilac. This is my favorite shade in the collection. I am a sucker for pastels and lilacs and lavenders are probably my faves. This is such a beautiful pale lilac cream. It applied completely opaque in 2 coats.
- Ballet Barre – deep metallic. This gunmetal grey metallic is a little one coat wonder. Amazing opaque pigmentation. The metallic finish will emphasize any texture in your nails. I think the streaks you can see in my swathes are more from my current nail condition (which is a hella big mess) as opposed to brush streaks.

The collection is available exclusively at Sephora. Each curated collection is a one-month exclusive, and each nail polish shade is sold separately and retails for ($12.50 US/$16 CAD). Due to the special nature of this collaboration, quantities are very limited. Stay tuned each month for the next #ColorCurators reveal with all new shades. These products are cruelty-free and are a three-free formulation (formulated without dibutyl phthalate (DBP), formaldehyde, and toluene).
