Estée Lauder has a new cream eyeshadow formula, Pure Color Stay-On Shadow Paint, on the beauty scene and it is unique enough to be a stand out for me.
Infused with True Vision Technology – a unique concept of wrapping concentrated pigments into a crystalline laminate to create a multidimensional look – color is amplified and magnified with a glowing metallic finish. Mousse-like creme lays down a layer of pure pigments to recreate and redefine eyes, while prismatic light reflecting pearls add dazzle to each shade, for glimmering effects ranging from a subtle sheen to a dazzling shimmer finish.
The Estée Lauder Pure Color Stay-On Shadow Paint formula, (created by Tom Pecheux), isn’t the thick, dense cream shadow texture you expect but rather a light, mousse texture that is highly pigmented. It is easily blended out to a soft wash of colour or build up for full on opaque colour, and in Chained’s case, metallic finish. Below I have done a regular swatch and a light swatch in direct, natural lighting.
Chained is a warm, coppery brown with shimmer. It is a great shade for bringing out blue eyes. It functions beautifully as a base for natural eye looks and also looks great solo for a quick, easy eye. The Shadow Paint formula lasts all day without fading and creasing and holds up to it’s 12 hour wear claims.
There are 9 shades available in the Pure Color Shadow Paints Collection. Chained (shown here), Halo, Pink Zinc, Sinister, Cosmic, Steel, Neon Fuchsia, and Bold Cobalt, and Extreme Emerald.
Availability: The Pure Color Stay-on Shadow Paints ($28 CAD) collection will be available beginning January 2013 at Sears, The Bay, Holt Renfrew, Sephora and www.esteelauder.ca. Also available at Nordstrom, Saks, Neiman Marcus,
