The Dior Tie Dye Summer 2015 Collection brings us two of the most stunning Dior 5 Couleurs Eyeshadow Palettes I’ve seen in a while. I couldn’t help but gasp when I popped open the compacts to reveal the rich, shimmering summer hues inside.
The Dior 5 Couleurs Eyeshadow Palette 556 Contraste Horizon is a surprising harmony of colours and is limited edition. A soft shimmery sage green with surprising depth, a bright peach gold, a truly stunning and pigmented turquoise, a summery bronze brown, and a smooth creamy matte white. There is also a new Diorshow Khol in Pearly Turquoise that coordinates perfectly with the turquoise in the shadow palette. I will reveal that later this week.
The palette has smooth, creamy textured powders with nice pigmentation. I was especially pleased to see how well the turquoise performed. There are so many ways you can wear this palette ranging from soft and pretty to daring and bold. Such a fun mix of shades!
The other palette in the collection is the Dior 5 Couleurs Eyeshadow Palette 746 Ambre Nuit. It’s a neutral lover’s dream and will be added to the permanent lineup. The warm shades include satin peach with the loveliest iridescence and hints of pink. It’s hard to capture it’s beauty on camera. It really brightens up the eyes and brings out the beauty in blue eyes. There’s also a shimmering warm taupe brown, satin matte tan brown, rich dark warm brown with flecks of gold, and a creamy glowing pale beige.
This palette really creates an effortless natural look that is very chic. There is just something about the shades and finishes that work together to make them look a little more special than your typical nude eye look.
The Dior Summer 2015 Tie Dye Collection has really won me over and these eyeshadow palettes are a big part of that love. I can’t wait to show you more from the collection in the coming days. The collection will be available May 1st, 2015 and the Holt Renfrew Preview began April 1st, 2015. Available at Nordstrom.com now.
