The 5 Couleurs Dior Fall 2014 Collection is all about the House of Dior reinventing the 5 Couleurs Dior Palette. The 5 Couleurs Palettes are wardrobes for the eye with key pieces and accessory shades. The centre shade of the palette is the essential shade that sets the tone for the look. The palettes contain both complementary and contrasting shades for a variety of looks. The top trio of shades are ideal for a softer daytime look while the lower trio of shades are deeper and more sultry. I love to just work from all over the palette and use all 5 shades if I can. I can’t help but want to use them all!
The 5 looks in the collection each focus on one of the couturier’s five favourite colours: Red, grey, pink, black, and blue. Lets take a look at the Dior Fall 2014 Tutu Pink Look.
Each look includes a 5 Couleurs Eyeshadow Palette, a Rouge Dior Lipstick, and a Dior Vernis Nail Polish.

The 5 Couleurs Eyeshadow Palette in 846 Tutu is fresh take on a fall palette. Fresh pinks blossomed in the heart of winter with an autumnal pink palette. The best part is you can put this palette to use immediately and year round.
The shades in the Tutu palette include a sheer sparkling peach pink, shimmering greyed pink, shimmering pink, shimmering violet pink, and deeper rose pink with silver sparkle. The top left peachy pink has a sheer effect. The centre shade has a drier texture than the rest of the shades but still offers good pigmentation. The other three shades are creamy and richly pigmented. I was impressed that these soft colours wore all day for me. I am truly delighted with this palette. While it is so lovely to admire in the compact I had questioned how it would translate to the eye. I am happy to say it wears as lovely on the eyes as it does in the palette. A bold statement in pretty pink.
The Rouge Dior Lipstick in Rose Tutu has quickly become one of my most used lip products. The formula is very different compared to most Rouge Diors. It has a fabulous sheen and like all Rouge Dior lipsticks it is long wearing, hydrating, and comfortable to wear yet it has a sheerer finish. It seems to make the lips glow in an aura of prettiness. The Dior Vernis in Rose Tutu is a perfect companion to this collection of pinks. A delicate yet sophisticated warm pink. The Dior Vernis are one of my favourite nail polish formulas. They offer perfect opaque coverage in a maximum of two coats and the tapered brush makes application a breeze.

The look I created features all five shades in the palette. You can see that there is enough variety in the shades of pink to provide definition to the eye. It gives a very brightening and eye opening effect. I think my favourite way to use this palette is to use the variety of truly stunning pink shades with other darker shades in my collection although it is certainly not necessary to work outside of the palette. It can be hard to find flattering and pigmented shades pink and this palette has managed to excel at it in a variety of fresh pinks.
