Dior has released a new gel mousse potted eyeshadow that has the most elegant and beautiful finish. Rather than being glittery and sparkly like many other products of similar bouncy texture from other brands, the Dior Fusion Mono Eyeshadowsshimmer, glimmer, and gleam with a very fine, multi-faceted shimmer.
There are 8 shades available of which I have 4 to share with you today.
- Lune – sublime, immaculate and iridescent, for poetic eyes. A stunning moonlit snow white.
- Etoile – the glittering sparkle of startdust. A stunning pewter that dances with a rainbow of pink and blue in the sunlight.
- Cosmos – the magical blue of a night beneath the heavenly skies. A gorgeous midnight blue reflecting sparks of green, blue, purple, and aqua.
- Meteore – a flamboyant and passionately sensual amber. – A warm sparkling copper.
The shadows each come with a sponge tip applicator. It actually works very well for applying a bolder amount of colour.
The following swatches are all done with my fingertip. Using your fingers is the sheerest way to apply these. Application with the sponge tip applicator achieves more intense results and applying wet takes it to a whole new metallic level. I find an eyelid primer essential with these. Without something to bind to these shadows may fade and you can end up with fallout accumulating through the day. With a good base these last all day. I was surprised at the lack of fallout on application. It only becomes an issue if you are too aggressive with your blending or have not applied a primer which will result in fallout later on in the day. My absolute favourite way to wear these is over a sticky base like Too Faced Glitter Glue. It achieves such an intensity and complexity and really does the Fusion Monos justice.
Photos really don’t do these Fusion Mono eyeshadows justice. The stunning shimmering effect is like the sun dancing on snow or the moon glimmering on the lake. Delicate, yet intense. These shadows have remarkable depth without being tacky with glitter. One of these on the lid with with another shadow in the outer v and crease is all you need to create an intricate and eye catching look. Love!
